Message from the President

Our CoreNet Global Southern California Chapter is now three months into the unprecedented era of the COVID-19 pandemic.  We are a strong chapter and shall grow stronger through this by coming together to share our experiences.

In April, we began weekly Tuesday morning Coffee Chats from 8:00-8:30 featuring our Chapter corporate real estate leaders to share the current impact of COVID-19 and their industry specific and thoughtful solutions as we transition back to the office.  Many thanks to Jennifer Dryden Hess-Northern Trust, Alan DeFrancis-Boeing, Nina Derocher-IBM, Elise Luckham-First American Title, Jamie Leary-Erickson-Nokia, Neil Smolen-Technicolor, Jennifer Schulenberg-Paramount, Mara Cummings-Discovery Inc., Luigi Sciabarrasi-AECOM and those of you committed to our upcoming Tuesdays.  Great insights!

Will things ever be the same?  We have had three presentations from industry leading experts on remote working and conducting business during this global disruption over the past two months. We all know that everyone sees the world somewhat differently now and there will be inevitable impacts to our business as we know it.

Our new website has been launched. Our Young Leaders are Zooming. Currently, we are still moving forward with our plans for A Day at the Del Mar races in August, the Pelican Hill Golf Tournament in September and our annual recognition of the best in our Chapter, the REmmys in November in a format we are developing now.

As a Chapter we are staying nimble and increasing the frequency of our virtual events and interactions so our community can connect to share the challenges and successes of navigating the unexpected.  Watch for our upcoming events and we look forward to seeing you on video for now. We are, of course, the entertainment capital of the world.  Mr. DeMille, I am ready for my (small screen) close up.

Sincerely,

Todd Anderson
Southern California Chapter
